Conor McGregor Worries Fans In Bizarre Video Just Days After Saying He's Going Sober

McGregor told fans he'd be stopping drinking in order to get back fighting fit but his latest video has left cause for concern amongst fans.

Conor McGregor has posted a bizarre video eating an ice cream, leading to concerns from his fans, just days after he said he was stopping drinking.

2021 wasn't a good year for McGregor in UFC, as he lost twice to Dustin Poirier and broke his leg in the second loss, leaving him unable to return.

In typical form for the Irishman, he hasn't been quiet since the injury last summer and Dana White recently revealed that the former two weight champion will be back in action this summer.

Whilst he would have hoped to get a shot at the lightweight title on his return, he'll have to find a new opponent as Charles Oliveira is set to face Justin Gaethje at UFC 274.

McGregor said just days ago he's going to stop drinking and concentrate on training, however a recent post on Instagram left people worried for him due to a bizarre video of him lying in bed with an ice cream.

Fans were left concerned by his weird behaviour in the video, admittedly not for the first time, with some questioning his ability to compete at the highest level of MMA these days.

One person commented: "Wtf is going on with Conor?"

Someone else said: "This dude has lost his mind."

A third agreed: "Dude is f***in losing it."

One simply said he was ‘crazy’, while another wondered if he’d had ‘too much whisky’.

Another Instagrammer someone should ‘hurry up and take Conor’s phone away from him’, while some wondered what this meant for his UFC comeback, saying, "Sorry Conor you will never become champion again."

Someone else said in agreement, "Money has well and truly gone to your head my friend, I was your biggest fan too, you won’t fight again."

"Where are your marbles bro," someone wrote.

The Irishman had been celebrating being given the keys to the city of Miami, posting pictures of his evening along with the video.

The post was captioned, "The key to the city of Miami at @theblackforgeinn Dublin twelve, and still. Top man, Mayor @francissuarez thanks for the buzz, this 50k cash from ‘gargle entertainment’ is to me. Hard work pays #januarybluesclues #newcocktails #miamid12."

The 33-year-old's recent UFC record isn't much to write home about, having only won once since claiming his second UFC title in 2016.

Since then he's moved over to boxing, returned, and then lost three times in the octagon, once to Khabib Nurmagomedov and twice to Poirier.
