Dana White Was Dismantled By Vince McMahon Via Text Message Because Of Donald Trump Meeting

Dana White has revealed he received a damning text message from WWE chairman Vince McMahon following a meeting with Donald Trump.

The UFC president discussed the early days of the Covid-19 pandemic during a recent appearance on the Pivot Podcast.

Trump was president of the United States at the time and invited a number of the country's major sporting organisation owners to discuss how they'd continue with events.

A number of organisations came to a halt and White believes only he and McMahon had it in them to carry out their plans. McMahon felt the same about White and immediately got in contact.

White explained: "So we were on the call with the President one time and I remember I was listening to everybody get on there and talk and I was like, these guys are all full of s**t.

"None of these guys are gonna f**king roll or really wanna do what they’re saying they’re gonna do except for one and when we hung up the phone, he f**king texts me…Vince McMahon.

"Vince McMahon starts texting me and basically berating me after the call like, ‘Why didn’t you talk? Why didn’t you back up what I was saying? 

'Because I think everybody’s full of s**t, that’s why, except for you. You’re definitely not full of s**t Vince,' you know? Vince is a f**king killer. Vince was putting on his events down in Florida at the time too."

McMahon clearly isn't afraid to speak his mind.

WWE didn't miss a single show throughout the peak of the pandemic and emanated from their Performance Centre in Orlando, Florida.

WrestleMania 36 was changed to a two-night event and ran from the training facility.

They'd eventually move to the ThunderDome where they'd remain until fans returned in summer 2021.

UFC were forced to postpone shows meanwhile, including UFC 249 which featured Khabib Nurmagomedov vs Tony Ferguson in the main event.

UFC started to run from Fight Island in Abu Dhabi with their first being UFC 249 with the new main event of Ferguson vs Justin Gaethje.

Nurmagomedov couldn't leave Russia and travel to Abu Dhabi due to restrictions, meaning his lightweight title defence had to be cancelled.
