Jake Paul Makes Bold Claim After Francis Ngannou's UFC 270 Pay Revealed

Francis Ngannou, Cyril Gane and the rest of the UFC 270 fighters had their pay revealed, and Jake Paul is once again taking Dana White to task over it.

Ngannou defeated Gane to become the undisputed UFC heavyweight champion on Saturday night, surprising pre fight predictions by taking it to a decision and getting it in his favour.

The Cameroon fighter's contract is technically up in UFC now, although he has a champions clause to remain in the promotion for one more defence, and he has talked about the prospect of boxing, potentially against Tyson Fury.

That might be to do with money, as it was revealed the 35-year-old earned just $600,000 for his nights work, which is nothing compared to the money Fury makes for his heavyweight title defences.

The news of Ngannou's money, as well as that made by everyone else on the card, sprung YouTuber turned boxer Paul into action once again.

Paul has been very vocal in his rivalry with UFC president Dana White recently, having beaten up two of the 52-year-old's former stars in Ben Askren and Tyron Woodley, in three of his five professional fights.

The Problem Child, who could be fighting Mike Tyson in the near future, claimed he would quit boxing and step inside the octagon to face Jorge Masvidal, if White paid his fighters more.

Now the 25-year-old has used to recent pay leak in his favour, claiming that he's going to announce how he'll help the UFC's fighters on Monday.

As well as Askren and Woodley, Conor McGregor went over to boxing to face Floyd Mayweather in 2017, a fight that was put on in conjunction with White.

Others have talked about making the move over and, rather than talk about a potential title defence with Jon Jones, Ngannou reiterated his dreams of getting in a boxing ring after defeating Gane.

When asked about the prospect of boxing by Joe Rogan, the champ said, "Boxing is always in the back of my pocket.

"It’s something I must do before the end of my career.

"It’s not like I have a lifetime here."

Whilst Paul wants to help Ngannou with his finances, the social media star clearly wasn't impressed with the main event of Sunday's card, tweeting 'Boring fight,' after the conclusion.

It was expected either Ngannou would land a knockout blow or Gane would out fight his bigger opponent, and when the Frenchman impressed in the first two rounds it looked like the latter would happen.

Ngannou though fought back and used his greater weight to his advantage, taking Gane down in each of the final three rounds and having huge amounts of time controlling the fight on top.

Paul wasn't the only one unimpressed with the contest, with UFC legend Jones, who hasn't fought since February 2020, when he defeated Dominik Reyes.

The former light heavyweight champion wants to go up to heavyweight and spent the fight tweeting about how unimpressed with the two fighters he was.
