Joe Rogan reckons Conor McGregor's 'piss would melt the USADA testing cup'

Joe Rogan reckons Conor McGregor's 'piss would melt the USADA testing cup'

"Like, it would just like burn a hole right through the bottom of that USADA cup."

Joe Rogan has had his say on the PEDs debate engulfing former two-division UFC champion Conor McGregor.

And to sum up Rogan's stance: he basically reckons the Irishman is on the juice.

During his injury layoff, McGregor has become insanely stacked.

While he may not have been able to train MMA for an extended period of time, that certainly doesn't mean he's been out of the gym.

The UFC fan favourite has clearly been hitting the weights and is now an absolute unit.

His increased size has sparked speculation that he could be indulging in some steroids.

And those rumours were compounded when it was revealed that McGregor was out of the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency's (USADA) testing pool, meaning he wasn't being monitored for any performance-enhancing substances.

Now UFC commentator Rogan, who has had a rather flake relationship with McGregor, has weighed in.

“He’s taking his shirt off and posing constantly, and he looks like his piss would melt that USADA cup,” Rogan said on his podcast.

“Like, it would just like burn a hole right through the bottom of that USADA cup… The weird thing is that there is a loophole in USADA that allows you to get out of the testing pool. You can get out of the testing pool and just juice up.”

On the episode of the podcast, Rogan was accompanied by Derek from More Plates More Dates, who is an expert in fitness.

Rogan asked Derek which steroids or performance-enhancing drugs would help with recovery, specifically recovery from something like McGregor's devastating broken tibia.

“HGH, peptides, androgens are very restorative – like they’ll reinforce bone mineral density,” Derek said.

“Like, there’s certain stuff that’s going to stay in the system for a long time he could never use. But on the bio-identical side, anything that is pro-bone integrity, infrastructure enforcing, I would be highly incentivised. If I was him and I wasn’t being tested, I’d be pushing that vector hard.”

McGregor's comeback date is still yet to be set.

In fact, there's some whispers from a portion of MMA fans suggesting we may never witness his second coming.

Rogan added: “It is weird, his last big win was against Donald Cerrone, which was a significant win. I wonder, it could just be inactivity, too. The inactivity is probably one of the biggest factors in his demise – maybe even more so than just the silk sheets.

“He said that after the Dustin Poirier fight… There’s a lot going on in a fight and if you’re not accustomed to fighting at the high level, the stress of that moment is so overwhelming. (It’s) very, very difficult for guys to take years off and then jump back in and be 100 percent.”
