Dana White teases 'massive stadium in London' could stage Conor McGregor vs. Michael Chandler

Dana White teases 'massive stadium in London' could stage Conor McGregor vs. Michael Chandler

Conor McGregor vs. Michael Chandler could land in London.

The big UFC showdown between Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler could land in a 'massive stadium in London', according to Dana White.

McGregor will make his highly-anticipated UFC return against Chandler, with a stint on The Ultimate Fighter set to precede their huge clash.

It will be the Irish star's first UFC fight since July 2021, when he suffered a crushing first-round defeat to Dustin Poirier at UFC 264.

And the promotion are expecting a blockbuster event, with the UFC president teasing the bout could be staged in a 'massive stadium in London'.

He also mentioned the AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys, Madison Square Garden in New York City and the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Speaking on Fanatics View, he revealed: "We’re kind of working that out but to go to the Dallas, Texas Stadium, you have to have the right fight.

"The Dallas, Texas Stadium is a possibility. When you look at a fight of that magnitude, you have got to look at Madison Square Garden. Obviously Vegas, we could do the stadium there or do T-Mobile. You look at Dallas, Texas Stadium.

"You could also do a massive stadium in London," he added.

While White didn't name a stadium in London, he's clearly referencing Wembley Stadium and the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Wembley Stadium has hosted a number of huge boxing fights, including Anthony Joshua vs. Wladimir Klitschko.

The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium recently staged Joshua's bout against Oleksandr Usyk.

Both stadiums in London can house up to 90,000 people, which would smash UFC's attendance record.

The current record stands at 57,127 for UFC 243, which was headlined by Robert Whittaker vs. Israel Adesanya.

If White takes McGregor vs. Chandler to London, then it'd be the second card of the year in London, with the promotion setting up the famed Octagon at the O2 Arena next month for UFC 286: Leon Edwards vs. Kamaru Usman 3.
