UFC Fighter Frankie Edgar's Face Turned To Rubber After Brutal Front Kick Knockout

UFC Fighter Frankie Edgar's Face Turned To Rubber After Brutal Front Kick Knockout

The picture of Frankie Edgar looks photoshopped but it is in fact completely legitimate.

Frankie Edgar basically turned into Homer Simpson when he was caught with a brutal front kick by Marlon Vera in his UFC 268 defeat.

The 40-year-old suffered a fourth loss in five bouts when he was finished in the third round at Madison Square Garden.

Out of nowhere, the former UFC lightweight champion was caught viciously on the chin from the kick and fell to the canvas.

The referee stepped in straight away to wave off the contest.

Somehow, Edgar was unhappy with the way in which the fight ended but the stoppage simply had to come.

Because the impact of the foot hitting him flush on chin was so brutal that Edgar's face became flattened and mushy.

Pictures doing the rounds taken from cageside look like they have been photoshopped but we promise you; they are completely legitimate.

Needless to say, the punchface picture caused a massive stir on social media:

Vera earned a healthy Performance of the Night bonus for his incredible KO.

"In the cage it’s my family or yours and my family is more important to me," he said on his impressive win.

"We drill those things up the middle. I work hard. I go hard. That immigrant mentality, it’s forever."

As for Edgar, a legend of the sport, he had a tough old night in the same way he did in earlier this year when Cory Sandhagen put him away in the first round with a flying knee.

His last victory inside the Octagon was via split decision against Pedro Munhoz last year.
