Michael Chandler names the two things Conor McGregor has done that will cost him at UFC 303 showdown

Michael Chandler has broken his silence on fight with Conor McGregor.

Michael Chandler has brutally broken down his upcoming fight with Conor McGregor and has revealed the two key reasons why he will defeat the former two-division champion.

Dana White finally confirmed McGregor's return following UFC 300, with a date now officially set for his long-awaited bout with Michael Chandler.

The fight will be the main event of UFC 303 on June 29th, 2024 and will have five rounds with the fighters weighing in at 170lbs.

It's been nearly three years since McGregor last stepped into the octagon, back at UFC 264, where he suffered a severe leg break against Dustin Poirier.

The injury didn't seem to bother McGregor too much at the time as the Irishman gave a post-fight interview following the gruesome injury but the incident could have ended his career.

There had been considerable doubt cast over the fight with Chandler due to McGregor's personal life since his last fight, as many fans shared their concern for his welfare during the media tour for his debut movie: Roadhouse.

Speaking following the announcement, Chandler threw shade on his opponent, stating that his recent life choices will cost him any chance come June 29th.

"He's already ready to drown due to the lifestyle he's lived in recent years and the work he has not put in," Chandler said on The Shawn Ryan Show.

"This is a man versus another man where one man has earned it and another man who knows he hasn't," He added.

The mind games from Chandler didn't stop there as the 37-year-old predicted McGregor won't have the fight and will quit when they are put in the cage together.

"One man who will talk a big game but in the confines of his own mind, the confines of his own home, in the quiet moments he knows he hasn't earned it, but in my quiet moments I know I am right where I'm supposed to be," He explained.

"I will absolutely break this man and the whole world is going to see it. It's going to be the best moment of my professional life.

"I am the better fighter I am the tougher fighter, I believe I hit harder.

"I'm going to suck the oxygen out of the octagon and I believe he will look for the exit sign in the second round," He concluded.
