Paddy Pimblett shuts down fan who asks inappropriate question about his relationship with Molly McCann

Paddy Pimblett expertly shut down a UFC fan who asked an embarrassing question about the MMA star’s relationship with Molly McCann.

The UFC held a fan Q&A ahead of UFC London, which went a bit off the rails when one fan asked a completely inappropriate question.

Pimblett was asked a series of questions about his return, other fighters, and various subjects, however, this one went a step too far.

One fan stepped up to the microphone with a smug look on his face as he asked the Englishman if he had ever ‘shagged’ his good friend Molly McCann.

Pimblett immediately shut down the question noting that McCann is lesbian while he is also happily married.

The fan looked embarrassed as he quietly apologised for the question and walked away from the microphone.

Fans slammed the fan in question online while also praising the way that The Baddy handled the situation.

One fan wrote: “Imagine you finally get to ask your favourite fighter a question and this is what you chose to ask.”

Another said: “In physical pain trying to make it through these 17 seconds.”

A third added: “Say what you want about Paddy, blud handled that about as well as he could tbh.”

Another simply commented: “Embarrassing.”

Pimblett and McCann have been friends and teammates for 10 years, both fighting out of Liverpool.

They both train at Next Generation MMA in Liverpool and have been close throughout their time growing up in the MMA scene in the UK.

They both secured wins in 2022’s UFC London and were both delighted for the other.

McCann described their relationship back in 2022, when she described Pimblett as her ‘little big brother’.

She told Sky Sports: “He is my little big brother and he gives me confidence and an edge and he makes me believe. I can do it without him but it's a lot better doing it with him. Just seeing his reaction when I won and then I got to sit with Dana White when he won and I snuck in the cage and got to share that moment together.

"You could just see how much it meant. We are a bit different and we will be like Marmite, you will love us or hate us and that's fine, everybody is entitled to their opinion, it doesn't matter to us, we're just out here living our best life.

“When we both got the £50,000 bonus, on the way home I was like 'I always envisioned this but I never thought it would really come true'. And he went 'I did, I know where we're going' and sometimes it's good to hear him reaffirm."
