Paddy Pimblett dominated Tony Ferguson as he claimed the biggest win of his MMA career at UFC 296.
Pimblett, who was making his first Octagon appearance since December 2022, outpointed Ferguson to record his fifth UFC win.
He made a huge impression in the first round as he tagged the American on several occasions. He found success with leg-kicks and dropped his opponent with a big shot.
From there, he nearly finished Ferguson, landing a series of strikes from top position.

In the second round, 'The Baddy' controlled Ferguson on the ground and rained down punches.
The legendary lightweight threatened with some submission attempts but failed to put him away.
Pimblett looked fatigued in the third round, but secured a takedown and took command of the bout to earn a unanimous decision victory, winning every round on the scorecards.

Speaking to Joe Rogan inside the cage, he said: "How did he survive that first round? I blew my load trying to get him out of it!

"A couple of weeks ago, I got my second degree black belt. So we put it to work. When I get on top of you, I’m like a blanket."
The 28-year-old added: "You can’t get me off. I feel better. I’m still a bit disappointed I didn’t get the finish over Tony but he’s one of the toughest motherf**ker in the world."
The Liverpool fighter improves his professional record to 21-3, which includes five straight victories in the UFC.
He boasts UFC wins over Luigi Vendramini, Rodrigo Vargas, Jordan Leavitt, Jared Gordon and, of course, Ferguson.

As for 'El Cucuy', he loses his seventh fight in a row. He's not won a UFC fight since his victory over Donald Cerrone back in June 2019.
He's suffered defeat to the likes of Justin Gaethje, Michael Chandler and Nate Diaz during his losing streak.
