The UFC’s youngest winner Raul Rosas Jr. suffered his first loss in his MMA career with a unanimous decision loss to Christian Rodriguez.

The Mexican came out to a huge ovation from the Miami crowd and looked to channel that energy with a huge first round.

From the get-go Rosas Jr. attempted to take Rodriguez to the ground, however, he found himself struggling to secure the takedown.

The young fighter spent almost the entire first round on Rodriguez’s back attempting to secure the rear naked choke.

Fortunately for ‘CeeRod’ he showed fantastic defence to keep himself from suffering a first-round submission loss.

Rosas Jr. seemed to have emptied a lot of the tank in the first round with Rodriguez looking in control for the majority of the second and third round.

The American looked to drain his young opponent by maintaining back control for the second and third.

By the end of the final round it was clear that the young popular fighter was heading toward his first loss in his young MMA career.

It was a classy and calm performance from the 25-year-old who was announced as the winner on an unanimous decision.
