Jake Paul condemns the decision to ban Andrew Tate from Instagram and Facebook

Jake Paul condemns the decision to ban Andrew Tate from Instagram and Facebook

Paul has waded in on the debate surrounding freedom of speech and censorship.

Jake Paul has seemingly thrown his support behind Andrew Tate after the controversial social media star was banned across a number of platforms.

In particular, Paul has waded in on the debate surrounding freedom of speech and censorship.

Tate sprung to fame in 2016 when he appeared on Big Brother before eventually getting kicked off the show after a video surfaced showing him attacking a woman.

In recent months, the former professional kickboxer has catapulted into social media stardom, racking up millions of views online mainly thanks to his highly controversial takes on women and manhood.

Not only did his content make for very shocking viewing among users, but it turns out the major platforms weren't too fond of it either with Meta barring him from its channels 'for violating policies on dangerous organisations and individuals'.

For most people, they were glad to see the back of Tate – but not everyone agreed with his ban.

In the wake of the news, YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul decided to throw his two cents in, appearing to question the decision to remove Tate from Facebook and Instagram.

"I don’t roll with Andrew Tate. May KO his ass out in the ring one day soon," Paul tweeted.

"But I roll with freedom of speech. Andrew Tate speaks on the ban."

He then shared an hour-long video titled 'Andrew Tate's Final Message', which features the controversial social media star giving his side of the story.

A few days prior, he made another social media post in relation to the TikToker's removal.

Paul tweeted: "Both of these statements are true: 1) I don’t agree with a lot Andrew Tate’s opinions. 2) I don’t agree with censorship. Who is with me?"

Paul and Tate have been going back-and-forth via social media for what seems like a few weeks now.

Given Paul's current pursuit of boxing and Tate's fighting background, both men have expressed interest in settling their differences inside the ring in some sort of exhibition bout.

Of course, those talks all lead to absolutely nothing, although their verbal jousting did send their fan bases into meltdown online.

While appearing on his brother Logan's podcast IMPAULSIVE, younger sibling Jake really unloaded on Tate in a pretty heated rant.

"I just think it’s funny that the ‘Top G’ is a fanboy,” he said. "He runs with this whole thing like 'what colour is your Buggati?' Andrew, it’s not cool to tell kids that they need a Buggati to be cool.

"Andrew’s Tate’s fans are all virgins, and they’re watching him to try get laid. But they’re going to get spit on and slapped by a girl, that’s what’s gonna happen."

He added: "I don’t think he gets in the ring with one of us.

"It’s too big of a risk for him. He’s 'alpha male,' right? That’s his whole entire thing.

"And when he loses - he will lose to either one of us he fights - his whole schtick and all the women will be like, 'Yeah!' and his whole schtick goes out the window."
