Tom Brady Announces Sensational Retirement U-Turn, WILL Play In The NFL Next Season

Huge news.

Tom Brady has announced he will be returning to the NFL for a 23rd season, despite retiring earlier this year.

Brady is one of the greatest players in American football history and won seven Super Bowl titles, six with the New England Patriots and one with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers during his illustrious career.

The 44-year-old called time on his career in February, but shocked the world on Sunday by confirming his return to Tampa.

He posted on Twitter: "These past two months I’ve realized my place is still on the field and not in the stands. That time will come. But it’s not now. I love my teammates, and I love my supportive family.

"They make it all possible. I’m coming back for my 23rd season in Tampa. Unfinished business LFG."

Brady is also a five-time Super Bowl MVP and he'll want to right the wrongs of last season.

The Buccaneers suffered a dramatic last minute defeat to eventual Super Bowl winners, the Los Angeles Rams, in January to bring their campaign to an end.

No other comments surrounding Brady's return have been released as of yet.

Free agency begins on March 16 ahead of the 2022 season.

Brady was in attendance at Old Trafford, the home of Manchester United, on Saturday afternoon.

He watched United run out 3-2 winners over Tottenham Hotspur and Cristiano Ronaldo scored a hat-trick.

The two sporting icons shared a moment on the Old Trafford pitch at full time.

Ronaldo posted a picture to Instagram and captioned it: 'Always a pleasure and a privilege to share some thoughts and ideas with another GOAT.'
