FIFA 22 players have not eased up in review bombing EA Sports’ title after its Metacritic user score sits at an appalling 2.6.
The latest instalment in the long-standing football franchise arrived on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in October.
Furious players immediately vented their dissatisfaction towards FIFA 22 only days after its launch, with its Metacritic user score tanked in an online bombardment.

FIFA 22’s user score sat at 2.6 based on 115 reviews in October, an unwelcomed feat that it has managed to hold going into November.
In fact, the Metacritic page for FIFA 22 has gained over 100 user-submitted reviews and now sits at 223 ratings with the same score.

One recent reviewer submitted: “Worst FIFA game ever, they keep releasing a new one and making it more scripted, more buy to win, more boring, awful.”

While someone else wrote: “Very frustrating playing career mode. [You] can be leading and suddenly the opponent becomes super-fast and your defender makes silly clearances. This is by far the worst FIFA. Ever.”
A third added: “You can’t save in career mode. The passing is still awful and so fake. Movement of players [is] so cringe. Last FIFA buy for me. I will try for a refund.”
And a fourth posted: “Same old c**p, different cover and packaging. No discernible improvement to the gameplay and any of the game modes (career mode, FUT, Volta, etc.).”
