Mum of Luke Littler's girlfriend defends age gap and slams 'money grabber' trolls

Mum of Luke Littler's girlfriend defends age gap and slams 'money grabber' trolls

Luke Littler went public with his relationship with Eloise Milburn.

The mum of Luke Littler's girlfriend has broken her silence on her daughter's relationship with the darts star after he went public.

Littler has burst onto the scene with his incredible performances at the World Darts Championship, where he takes on world number three Luke Humphries in tonight's final.

The 16-year-old went public with new girlfriend 21-year-old Eloise Milburn, who has been cheering him on from Ally Pally.

But their relationship has come under fire for the five-year age gap.

'Money grabber' jibes have been cruelly directed at Eloise, who has been dating Littler for six weeks.

Her mum Amanda Milburn, however, hit back at the nasty taunts and defended their relationship.

Amamda has yet to meet the darts phenom, but she thinks they're great together and even talked up them getting married one day.

"We are a darts family, we love playing this sport and are all very dedicated to it," she said. "It's quite ironic that I met my husband through darts and Eloise might have met hers in the same way. It's the still early days for them and she'll kill me if I bring up talk of marriage."

Like Littler, Eloise loves darts and plays for her local club.

She lives in Surrey and plays for Surrey's Women's team.

Littler, playing in his first world tournament, has earned over £200,000 in prize money and is the youngest person to reach the final.

His impressive outing against Cross in the semi-final garnered high praise as he averaged a whopping 106.05 and smashed home 16 maximums while boasting ton-plus finishes of 149, 142 and 139 in his stunning win.

Littler has beaten Christian Kist, Andrew Gilding, Matt Campbell, Raymond van Barneveld, Brendan Dolan and Cross in this year's tournament as he sets his sights on Humphries in the final.
