Luke Littler set for another huge payday if he wins Bahrain Darts Masters as prize money revealed

Luke Littler is looking to win his first senior ranking event title at the 2024 Bahrain Darts Masters this evening. But how much money will he earn if he triumphs in the final?

Littler defeated Hong Kong star Man Lok Leung in his first round match on winning, recording three checkouts of over 100 to win 6-3.

He then produced another 6-3 scoreline to beat fourth seed Nathan Aspinall in the quarter-finals.

The 16-year-old hit his first televised nine-darter in the first leg of the match to book a semi-final encounter with Gerwyn Price.

And while there was not to be another nine-darter in that clash, Littler hit the maximum 170 checkout for the second time at the event - before producing a 'big fish' celebration towards the crowd.

He then sealed a commanding 7-3 victory over the 2021 world champion to book his place in the final, where he will take on Michael van Gerwen or Michael Smith.

Littler was guaranteed £1,250 just for appearing in Bahrain, with the tournament featuring eight pre-selected players from the PDC and eight of the top Asian players - including two players from the host country from a qualifier.

He then doubled his money as a result of defeating Leung, with his earnings doubled again to £5,000 by beating Aspinall in round two.

But how much will Littler earn should he win the tournament?

Had 'The Nuke' lost in the semi-final, he would have taken home £5,000. But he is guaranteed a total of £10,000 by reaching the final.

And the total prize pot for the winner of the entire event is £20,000 - meaning another huge payday regardless for Littler after his historic run in the World Championship.

Unlike other events, though, that prize money will not be automatically added on to his ranking, as PDC rules state that ranking points will be awarded to each player instead.

Littler has already moved past Scott Williams to become the number 30-ranked player, with eight ranking points given to the runner-up in the event.

Should he win the event, he will earn a total of 12 ranking points, which would push him closer to 29th-ranked Raymond van Barneveld in the two-year Order of Merit.
