Mum Faceplants During Parents' Race At Sports Day And Moons The Entire Crowd

One 36-year-old mum was left extremely embarrassed as she exposed her backside to a group of children during a sports day event.

A mum managed to take the idea of embarrassing parents to a whole new level when she faceplanted during a race at her daughter's school sports day – and mooned the crowd in the process. Check it out:

Katie Hannaford, 36, was left more than a little red-faced when she suffered the fall last week, 15 June, flashing teachers, parents and students alike while partaking in the school event.

Apparently, her eight-year-old daughter convinced her to do the run as she was desperate for her mum to take part, although she's probably regretting the decision now.

In the hilarious video, the mum from Basildon in Essex lines up in the third lane from the left as the crowd cheers the participants on.

They get off to a good start, but just seconds in Katie loses her footing and trips headfirst into the field, leaving her bum hanging in the air.

Whoops!

Unfortunately, her light blue dress comes up over her head and reveals her underwear for all the crowd to see.

In the background, a number of kids can be seen swiftly turning around as they realise what has happened.

Luckily, homeware company owner Katie saw the funny side, and while she was mortified at first she now finds the whole thing 'hilarious'.

"I'm not sporty at all, but [my daughter] kept begging me," she said. "In the end I agreed to the race – I knew I'd come last."

Katie continued: "I just tripped over my own feet – I think my body was just moving too fast for my legs! I'm so clumsy, I'm always falling over.

Katie Hannaford definitely sees the funny side now.

"I was humiliated at the time, but it is what it is! I flashed my underwear which is obviously embarrassing but you just have to own it.

"Looking back, it's hilarious – definitely the funniest thing I've ever done in my life!"

Let this be a warning to all the other parents as the end of the school year approaches and more and more people run in these kinds of races...
