The thought of a Conor McGregor rematch still occupies Jose Aldo's mind despite his very important upcoming clash with Frankie Edgar for the interim-title.

As UFC 200 fight week is upon us, the Brazilian has the opportunity to wrap a belt around his waist following his first defeat since 2005. The former UFC featherweight kingpin was dethroned back at UFC 194 in just 13-seconds, as he bids to reclaim glory this weekend.

Though, inevitably, still harbours a serious disdain for McGregor while pursuing another outing with him even if Edgar lies ahead of him.

McGregor's move to welterweight could scupper any eventual plans to drop back down to featherweight. Aldo commented on the possibility of him never returning to his division. Speaking to MMAFighting;

"We catch him in the street. No matter how, we will fight. F--k it."

He remains adamant that the pair meet inside the octagon, again.

"Only if he stops fighting. As long as he's in the UFC, this fight will happen. That's a fact. We will get the belt back and be champion again. We'll move up. The UFC will do this fight. It doesn't matter at which weight. I don't care."

The Crumlin-fighter is still in possession of the featherweight title as he is, supposedly, expected to meat the Aldo-Edgar winner. Meanwhile, the Irishman will get his rematch against Nate Diaz at UFC 202.
