Bradley Lowery Awarded Honorary Place In The Grand National

Bradley Lowery had been awarded with the honorary 41st place in this Saturday's Grand National.

The five-year-old has captured the hearts of the country over the past few months during his battle with neuroblastoma, a rare form of cancer he has suffered from for the last four years.

Ahead of this weekend's big race, Jockey Club Racecourses have created the special place as a way to raise funds and awareness to fight the disease.

Bradley's red and white outfit represents his beloved Sunderland, while Jermain Defoe is listed as one of his trainers.

Bradley is currently fighting neuroblastoma for the second time, having originally beaten it two years ago, only for it to tragically return, last year.

Since the illness returned in 2016, Bradley has bravely fought on, making several public appearances, including leading the England team out at Wembley during their World Cup qualifier with Lithuania, two weeks ago as well as befriending his Sunderland hero, Jermain Defoe.

Bradley's older brother Kieran is also listed as the jockey.
