Cameron Munster has copped a bit of a scathing attack from a disgruntled 92-year-old fan who sent a personal hand-written letter to the Melbourne Storm star.
The fan, by the name of George McCracken, let his feelings be known to the NRL player in a one-page letter where he accused Munster of milking unfair penalties, therefore giving him the new nickname ‘Milky’.
McCracken wrote: “Firstly let me say I am 92 and have watched football all my life.

“Once there (was a player) playing for Roosters called Soward who tried for penalties so much he was known as ‘Milky’.

“Now you are just the same. You call for penalties every time one of your team's opponents is slow getting off.
“But when your side does the same, you think it‘s okay - well it’s not.
“So, Milky. The ref is not conned by you. Now your ego is as big as an elephant because the press says so.”
The man in his 90s also went on to let him know that back in his day there were much better five-eights around.

He continued: “I will tell you now of many five-eighths better.
“(Wally) Lewis, (Brett) Kenny, (Terry) Lamb to mention a few, and none of them strutted like you. In my opinion, you‘re not worth one million as the media says. You’re just another player.”

These NRL stars are probably used to copping a bit of flack online, but a penned letter must hit much deeper.
You just know Mr McCracken was watching his team on the end of a Munster display when he turned off the Tele and decided to make his feelings known.
Obviously not scared by a potential response either, the New South Welshmen left a return address on the letter should Munster wish to respond.
Perhaps Mr McCracken was left a little more outraged after reports emerged that the 27-year-old had penned a four-year deal with the Dolphins worth $6 million.

NRL reporter Ben Dobbin recently declared that ‘in 2024 Munster is a Dolphin’ while speaking on Triple M.
That $6 million figure would make Munster the highest-paid player in the NRL at $1.5 million a season, overtaking Nathan Cleary who currently earns $1.3 million per year.
It would signal a huge marquee acquisition for the Dolphins, something the side desperately needs, as they continue to hunt down star players for their debut season.
