Nasty collision sees blood pour and squirt from Victor Radley's head

Roosters star Victor Radley copped the bad end of a brutal head clash with Broncos player Jake Turpin that saw blood immediately come streaming from his head.

The Sydney lock is one of the toughest players in the game, earning the nickname ‘the inflictor’, however, this time around it was he who was feeling the pain.

Be warned, the below footage makes for some pretty grim viewing.

Midway through the first half, the no-nonsense forward was carrying the ball heading straight towards a barrage of Brisbane players. 

As he reached the pack he went in head first and collided in an accidental head clash with Brisbane hooker Jake Turpin that immediately saw him fall to the ground.

A pool of blood immediately started pouring from his head showing off a massive wound just next to his eye that had commentators and viewers grimacing. 

On a second watch the noise of the clash, upon realising it was head on head, is enough to make even the toughest of people cringe.

Radley was attended to by trainers and taken off the pitch with a blood-stained jersey.

Incredibly, and a credit to the player’s toughness, he played on, running back onto the pitch with a bandaged up head.

The Roosters player had passed his HIA and received six stitches off the pitch before rejoining his team.

Commentator Warren Smith quipped: “His shorts are now red, white and more red!”

Bet he was thinking up that line the entire time Radley was getting attended to.

However, with just two minutes left to go in the half, the Roosters forward was forced to leave the field for more treatment after the cut opened up again following a tackle on Corey Oates.

Smith added: “He’s always earned his money the hard way, hasn’t he? Victor the inflictor!”

Radley had started the match well, helping his side to an 18-point lead in the opening 20 minutes.

The Sydney side managed to oust their Brisbane counterparts in the end with a 34-16 win. 

Radley’s coach Tren Robinson was asked about Radley’s injury after the match, revealing that he was hardly surprised by his effort.

He said: “One thing he’s never been questioned on is his bravery and he would have happily stapled-gunned it on the field and stayed on.”
