SPORTbible Australia extends landmark partnership with Parramatta Eels Women's team

As it stands, we remain one of the only social publishers in market to sponsor a sports team.

SPORTbible Australia is proud to announce that we have extended our landmark partnership with the Parramatta Eels Women’s team for a further two years.

The renewal of the deal means we will be standing shoulder-to-shoulder with the NRLW club until the end of 2024 season.

As it stands, we remain one of the only social publishers in market to sponsor a sports team.

"The Eels organisation shares many of the same values as ours, making it a no-brainer to continue the partnership," LADbible's VP of APAC, US, Ireland Joseph Summers said.

"We know our investment is aiding the development of the support staff and resources around the team. This year the Eels have some exciting new players and SPORTbible Australia will be looking forward to sharing their stories through social-first led content."

Last year, we saw Parramatta run out for their inaugural season donning SPORTbible Australia branding on the backs of their jerseys as well as on the sleeves of their training kits.

But for us and the Eels, it was important that our sisterhood stretched further than just the field-of-play.

By partnering with one of the NRLW's most exciting teams, we made a promise to give our 21.9 million-strong audience an insight into the incredible stories of the players and coaching staff.

From juggling two jobs like paramedic Abbi Church to winning the Veronica White Medal for her contributions away from footy like Kennedy Cherrington – we wanted to make sure we were present during it all.

So if 2022 was big, 2023 is poised to be even bigger.

“The SPORTbible partnership has played a critical role in our continued focus to grow the women’s game both at an elite and grassroots level,” Eels Chief Commercial Officer Andrew Mikhail said.

“Having the opportunity for our women’s team to tell their stories through entertaining and engaging content to a large and dedicated audience is only going to help grow the game and our fan base.”

The NRLW competition, which has expanded from six to 10 teams this year, kicks off on Saturday July 22.

Fresh off an appearance in last season's Grand Final, the Parramatta Eels will host the Tigers at CommBank Stadium on Sunday July 23 in their opening clash.
