Ronnie O'Sullivan has decided to create a new policy for his own well-being after the world number one was involved in a very public feud with Ali Carter.
Earlier this year, O'Sullivan told Carter to “sort his f***king life out” in an extraordinary rant after he was accused of "snotting" on the floor during the Masters final.
'The Rocket' lifted a record-extending eighth Masters title with a 10-7 victory at the Alexandra Palace in January.

But the biggest talking point came after the match, when a furious Carter slammed his opponent for displaying "outrageous behaviour" during the final stages.
“I haven’t spoken to him for 20 years. I played with him when he was a kid and shared a lot of stuff with him," O'Sullivan replied. “For him to come out and try to trash talk me like that, do you know what? He can have one of them.
“He can sit on it as far as I’m concerned. I don’t give a f***."
Two months later and O'Sullivan made a vow ahead of his Tour Championship quarter-final clash against Carter in Manchester.

Speaking to ITV, he said: "I don't comment on players now, I've learnt my lesson. There's no value in it for me, if they say something about me and it becomes a headline.
"What am I actually gaining from this? I'm not actually gaining anything from this. I'm happy with my life, my job, what I do and I just want to delete that stuff. I just need to make that a policy."
O'Sullivan added: "As far as I'm concerned it's not something I want to get involved in ever again."
The pair have clashed on numerous occasions down the years. One such incident came at the World Championship in 2018, when they bumped into each other mid-match.

But from now on, O'Sullivan will refrain from commenting on any of his opponents after "learning" his lesson.
