What Is Emma Raducanu's Net Worth?

What Is Emma Raducanu's Net Worth?

Despite being only just 18-years-old, Emma Raducanu has earned a pretty penny in her tennis career so far.

Emma Raducanu has made history by becoming the youngest and first British woman for 44 years to win a Grand Slam singles title.

The 18-year-old entered the coveted women's final as the overwhelming favourite and beat fellow teenager Leylah Fernandez in an enthralling encounter.

Raducanu became the first qualifier - man or woman - to reach a grand slam final in the Open era and the first British woman to reach a grand slam final since Virginia Wade’s triumph at Wimbledon in 1977. She has now completed the ultimate achievement in tennis.

The teenage sensation is already set to more than double her career prize money earnings thanks to her triumph in final of the American slam, but just how much has just earned during her career so far?

What is Emma Raducanu’s net worth?

Despite breathing difficulties forcing Raducanu to withdraw mid-way through Wimbledon, the 18-year-old was awarded an eye-watering £181,000 in prize money for reaching the latter stages of the competition.

But that's not all the teenager took home.

Her popularity on the court also earned her a huge 451,000 Instagram followers, which will more than likely bring with it a huge range of sponsorships and endorsements.

According to website Petal, Instagrammers who have between 250,000 and 500,000 followers can earn up to £485 per post.

Raducanu has also been raking in the cash from the US Open and there have been predictions she may make up to £1m this year alone through competing in the competition.

She earned an impressive $76,000 in prize money from reaching the main draw of the tournament alone, which is roughly £55,000.

This is set to rise the further she gets in the competition - with US Open winners being offered a record £41.6m in compensation money this year.

Raducanu won £1.8m for winning the American slam, although those figures do not account for the sponsorships and other commercial deals that she will most likely sign as a result of her attention-grabbing run in New York.

According to Tennis Time, Raducanu has earned nearly £200,000 from competing in 19 tournaments throughout her career, giving her an estimated net worth of around £2m.

On the face of it, her earnings do not compete with other Women's Tennis Association players, such as Ashleigh Barty, who is worth an estimated £15.2m.

However, Raducanu has only just started her career and her current net worth is predicted to rise significantly in the coming years.
