Emma Raducanu celebrated victory at the US Open like only an England football fan could, by singing Sweet Caroline after her win over Leylah Fernandez.
The 18-year-old qualifier shocked the world when she became Britain's first female grand slam winner since 1977 on Saturday night, with previous winner Virginia Wade in attendance.

Raducanu had made headlines earlier in the summer with her run to the fourth round of Wimbledon and had been catapulted into the hearts and minds of the British public.
Her fame and success at SW19 had come in the midst of England's run to the Euro 2020 final and she did her first post Wimbledon interview in an England shirt as she supported Gareth Southgate's team.
On Saturday, after her 6-4, 6-3 victory, Sweet Caroline was played over the speaker system at the Arthur Ashe Stadium, as it had many times at Wembley over the Euros, and the teenager couldn't help but sing along as her face beamed at her fans joining in.
Both Raducanu and Fernandez had incredible, and totally unbelievable runs to the final, for different reasons, despite both being teenagers.

It was only the British players second slam, having played at Wimbledon, and she needed to go through qualifying just to get into the main draw.
She didn't drop a set throughout the three weeks she was at the tournament, was the first qualifier to even be in a final in slam history, never mind win, and beat Olympic champion Belinda Bencic on the way.
Canadian Fernandez had slightly more experience than her opponent, having competed in a whopping four slams before this year's US Open, and the summer's Olympics.

However the 19-year old's run to Saturday night's match was more gruelling in terms of opponents and it hadn't been as plain sailing when it came to dropped sets either.
Fernandez beat world number three Naomi Osaka, world number five Elina Svitolina and world number two Aryna Sabalenka, all in three sets, just to set up the match with Raducanu.
It was a truly special night for British sport and fans may just be singing Sweet Caroline in victory for a few more years to come.
