Nick Kyrgios' run in the US Open continued with an incredibly impressive win over defending champion Daniil Medvedev but it wasn't without one typically bizarre Kyrgios point.
It's been an incredible year for the Australian, so often in the past criticised as not concentrating enough to be successful at the top of the sport.

The tennis star had his first grand slam success in his home country, by winning the men's doubles in Melbourne with fellow countryman Thanasi Kokkinakis in January, then reached the Wimbledon singles final at the beginning of the summer, losing to Novak Djokovic.
In New York his form has continued, despite claiming he wants the tournament over soon, and he came up against number one ranked Medvedev in the last on Sunday night and caused a huge upset.
However, no Kyrgios match is complete without at least one moment where the entertainment takes over from the need to win, and last night was no different.
At 1-0 down in the third set, after they'd shared the first two, Kyrgios came round the net, onto his opponent's side of the court, to finish the point, before the ball had bounced, losing him a point he was certain to win.
Despite the game being at a precarious point when the 27-year-old had his aberration, he still went on to win and then the third set, pretty easily.

Medvedev might have been the defending champion, but it clearly didn't intimidate Kyrgios, who went on to win the match 7-6, 3-6, 6-3, 6-2.
He next goes on to face Russian 27th seed Karen Khachanov, who ended the hopes of British rising star Jack Draper in the third round.
Should he manage to make it through to the semis, Kyrgios would face either Matteo Berrettini or Casper Ruud, and he knows he won't have to come up against Djokovic in the final again, with the Serbian missing the tournament because of his vaccine status.
Despite his form at Flushing Meadows, Kyrgios has still managed to mix in his usual amount of controversy and has been fined $11,000 for spitting and swearing during a match.

He's also being sued for claiming a woman at the Wimbledon final had drunk 700 drinks, getting her thrown off the court, but that didn't stop him claiming the court at the US Open smelled like someone was smoking marijuana.
We wouldn't have him any other way.
