Two Right To Play celebrity Ambassadors are raising awareness of a limited edition hoodie, which will raise funds for some of the most vulnerable children around the world. In celebration of the record-breaking EPT Barcelona from Thursday, August 29, the first 100 people who purchase a hoodie online, and enter the code RTPBALL, will also get a free PokerStars water bottle worth $13.

Right To Play Ambassadors, former Olympians British number one skier, Chemmy Alcott and speed skater, Sarah Lindsay have showcased their support for Right To Play across their social media channels by posting about Right To Play UK's limited edition hoodie, produced together with The Stars Group.

The hoodie honours a young boy in Eritrea who, 25 years ago turned a long-sleeve shirt into a football so he and his friends could play despite the challenges of growing up in a warn torn country. This moment provided the inspiration for Right To Play Founder Johann Koss to establish the charity.

The hoodie is available to purchase on the Stars Store for $40 with one hundred percent of the profits donated to Right To Play UK. Using sport and play, the charity empowers underprivileged children with the knowledge and skills to drive positive and lasting change in their lives, and those of their families and communities. The hoodies are one hundred percent cotton, available in black and red and in sizes small, medium and large.

The hoodie is also currently available for purchase in the pop-up Stars Store currently at PokerStars EPT Barcelona, one of the most prestigious live poker events in the world. The first 25 people who buy a hoodie from the pop-up Stars Store will get a PokerStars cap worth $13 as a free gift with their purchase.

Running until September 1, EPT Barcelona has already broken participation records. The 2019 €1,100 EPT National is the largest ever, with 4,682 entries generating a prize pool of €4,541,540, including €585,000 for first place.

"The hoodie is very special to us and it represents the very origins of our global partner Right To Play, said Sue Hammett, Associate Director of Corporate Giving at The Stars Group. "We are delighted to see Chemmy, Mike and Sarah wearing theirs and we'd encourage our players to order one and help us raise even more funds for Right To Play."

On September 8, as part of PokerStars annual World Championship of Online Poker, players can also take part in the $55 buy-in Right To Play Charity tournament with one hundred percent of the fees (rake) going to Right To Play.

"We're excited to work with PokerStars for WCOOP and extremely grateful to them for donating the rake for the charity event," said Neil Child-Dyer, Senior Partnerships Manager, Right To Play. "Since our Partnership with The Stars Group began in 2014, poker players have shown their generosity by taking part in Right To Play tournaments to raise funds to educate, empower and protect the most vulnerable children in the world through the power of play. Good luck to everyone taking part on Sunday September 8."

PokerStars, the flagship poker brand of The Stars Group, first partnered with Right To Play in 2014 and has since raised more than £1.7 million through Helping Hands, the charitable arm of The Stars Group. Most recently, The Stars Group sponsored Right To Play's annual Sports Quiz which raised £262,000 for the charity.
