Jon Jones has continued his training and move to the heavyweight division by bizarrely training in full camo gear whilst holding a machine gun.

Earlier this year Jones, considered by many as UFC's greatest ever fighter, decided to vacate the light heavyweight title as he decided he'd done everything he could in the division.

Jones was hoping to move up to heavyweight to fight Francis Ngannou but couldn't negotiate terms with the UFC or Dana White.

Whilst it's still the case that no agreement has been reached for the 33-year-old to move up,he has continued his preparation to put on the weight.

In his latest training videos on Instagram, Jones was working out in full camo gear whilst training with a machine gun.

There wasn't too much explanation from the American other than the caption in one of his posts reading, "Sometime learning how to fight in different environments is a necessity for growth. Show me your friend I will show you your future. Train with the best."

He hasn't fought since beating Dominick Reyes at UFC 247 in February when he won with a controversial unanimous points decision.

Many believed Reyes had done enough to win and the fight came following a split decision win over Thiago Santos the previous July, which was also tighter than it was originally expected to be.

Reyes has since gone on to lose to Jan Blachowicz in a fight for the vacated belt, with the Pole now the light heavyweight champ, and it's unlikely Jones will be back for that belt.

Instead the man who hasn't lost since a DQ loss in 2009 is eyeing up a potential meeting with heavyweight champ Miocic.

Speaking recently he explained that he's even more dangerous at the heavier weight. "When I was 205, I always had a hard time getting down low," the 33-year-old told ESPN. "Or hated getting low, with [single-leg takedowns] and stuff like that. Almost as if my knees were killing me to do it.

"Now that I've been working on my legs so much and they've gotten thicker... I think it'll make those muscles a lot faster."
