Jon Jones Posts CCTV Footage Of Himself Chasing Down Robber With Shotgun

Jon Jones has posted an exhilarating clip on Instagram which shows the UFC heavyweight star chasing down a burglar with a shotgun outside of his home.

The CCTV begins with a young man making his way across what seems to be Jones' driveway at his house in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

The burglar goes snooping around some of Jones' cars before a dog begins to loudly bark, apparently alerting Jones to potential danger.

Just a moment later, Jones sneaks around one of the cars before the intruder sees him and runs off.

Jones then goes after the assailant, running with what he says was a shotgun in his hand.

The former UFC light-heavyweight champion shouts "hey!" as the burglar runs away from Jones' property.

Jones posted about the ordeal on Instagram, stating that he tapped the window of the car the assailant was sitting in to get his attention.

"Ended up tapping on this guys driver side window with the muzzle of my shotgun last night," he wrote on Instagram.

"Next time you try to rob someone, make sure you're fast enough to out run them. He's lucky I'm smart enough to not shoot a man while he's retreating.

"Young people, I know times are getting hard but your life isn't worth a few material possessions."

The pound-for-pound star made it clear that he was against UFC's decision to anoint retired lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov as the No 1 fighter in the world.

Jones has yet to fight at heavyweight and has been linked with a mega-clash with both Francis Ngannou and Stipe Miocic.

Jones can also usually be seen tussling with UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya on Twitter.

Adesanya, it was confirmed yesterday, will be moving up to light-heavyweight for his next fight, following Jones' departure from the 205lb division.
