"Precision beats power, and timing beats speed."

The now famous words hollered by Conor McGregor after dethroning featherweight king Jose Aldo in just 13-seconds - the fastest finish in UFC title fight history.

Months and months of intense build-up including an unprecedented world media tour not to mention the cancellation of the first original meeting finally culminated at UFC 194.

The fight capital of the world; Las Vegas, Nevada, staged the fierce grudge match between the top two featherweights.

McGregor, renown for his mental warfare, pushed verbal exchanges to the limit thus setting up an extremely emotionally-charged fight.

The Irishman entered the famed Octagon confident as ever, very loose.

In the opposite corner, Aldo who looked nervous and rigid with UFC colour commentator Joe Rogan pointing out that he looked like he was feeling the pressure of the moment.

Needless to say, no touch of the gloves as 'Big' John McCarthy issued his final instructions to both combatants.

What's more, Aldo refused to make eye contact, firmly fixated on the ground.

As for the fight, McGregor immediately took the center of the cage.

He threw a few feelers which triggered the Brazilian who attempted to land his own combination, though McGregor seized the slightest of openings and slept Aldo with a vicious counter left-hook, connecting flush on his chin.

Landing a brutal hammer-fist for good measure.

And just like that, McGregor became the king of the 145 lb division, putting a end to Aldo's dominant reign in a blink of an eye.
