A video compilation has been released showing some of the biggest names in combat sports losing their head with journalist Ariel Helwani.

Helwani is one of the biggest reporters in the fight game and currently works for ESPN for who he hosts 'The Ariel Helwani Show' weekly.

Despite his name value, it's not saved him from brutally being put down when asking fighters questions they don't want to hear.

One of the first key names is current UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov.

'The Eagle' confronts the Canadian and explains, "I don't agree with you because you don't talk about my name".

Helwani expresses his shock at Khabib's claims but the undefeated Russian doubles down on them and adds:

"You play the game, you have to stop and stay loyal," he continues before joking that he wants to fight Helwani.

The next fighter in question is Conor McGregor.

McGregor and Helwani have a strong relationship in the modern day with Helwani interviewing 'Notorious' ahead of his UFC return in Janaury.

But he rubbed the Irishmman the wrong way in an interview when asking "Surely want to beat the current king", in relation to Jose Aldo.

The 31-year-old looks visibly frustrated and tells Helwani, "You're looking at the current king Ariel, you're looking at the current king."

He's also managed to rub a few boxers the wrong way in the past including McGregor's former rival Floyd Mayweather.

Helwani spoke to 'Money' in the build-up to Mayweather and McGregor's cross promotion fight in 2017 and it's fair to say the American thought he was biased.

Despite the ESPN man explaining he'd waited 'six hours' to chat with the undefeated boxer, Mayweather wasn't having any of it.

"You don't want me to beat Conor McGregor cos you're an MMA guy," the 43-year-old claims.

Helwani explains his long wait time to which Mayweather bluntly states: "I didn't tell you to wait! I didn't know I was doing an interview!"

He also aims a dig at the 37-year-old for trying to 'put words in his mouth'.

But one fighter who has always seemed to have a problem with the broadcaster is Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson.

Numerous clips in the video show the duo involved in verbal altercations with 'Rampage' frequently reacting poorly to Helwani's questions.

Some on YouTube have had sympathy for Helwani however with one user commenting: "Honestly I just hear him asking normal ass questions in a pretty normal tone, and fighters having they're feeling hurt and overreacting."
