UFC president Dana White has praised Kamaru Usman as he has argued that the UFC star has surpassed MMA icon Georges St-Pierre in terms of accomplishments.
Usman, 33, was stunned early on by Gilbert Burns in his UFC 258 fight before coming back to clinch a superb third-round TKO win at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.
And the Nigerian-American star's victory on Saturday now means that he has secured wins over six of the top eight welterweights in the world right now.

Usman, who is undefeated in UFC, also broke St-Pierre's record of 12 consecutive wins at welterweight and solidified his legacy in the division.
The 'Nigerian Nightmare' has the second-longest active winning streak in UFC and is three short of tying MMA legend Anderson Silva.
Usman's accomplishments have been lauded by White, who insisted that it is "undeniable" that the MMA fighter "will go down as the best welterweight."
White also suggested that the question now is "where will he go down in the history of the sport?"

Speaking at UFC 258's post-fight press conference, the UFC chief explained: "He broke his ['GSP'] record tonight.
"If you look at what he just did, he broke his record tonight for consecutive wins, and if this guy keeps rolling, if Usman can keep doing what he's doing, he's going to go down as the greatest welterweight ever. Fact.
"Just look at who he's fought and who he has to fight here in the future. It's undeniable that this guy will go down as the best welterweight.
"The question is, where will he go down in the history of the sport?"

Usman's title fight against Burns -- his third defence -- marked his first return to the octagon since his unanimous decision victory over Jorge Masvidal at UFC 251 last July.
The 'Nigerian Nightmare' insisted that he is the "best on the planet for a reason" after he defeated his former training partner at UFC 258.
"This one was a tough one. It was a very, very tough one, because of the whole gym situation [and] me leaving," Usman admitted.
"But I've said it, man, I'm the varsity guy. My fight IQ is different. It's different when you're in the gym with me. But when you get in here, it's different ball game.

"From start to finish, I'm a whole other savage, and he saw that tonight.
"So, from start to finish there was no friends in there, no friends at all. I had to go in there and do what I had to do, and that's go in and win this title.
"I am the best on the planet for a reason [and] I'm here to stay."
