Max Holloway has hinted at a interim-lightweight title fight versus Tony Ferguson.
The UFC lightweight scene is pretty unclear following Khabib Nurmagomedov's suspension. The undefeated-champion is sidelined till November.
But it appears the promotion are taking steps to clear up the division. Well, that's if Holloway's Tweet is anything to go by.
The current featherweight kingpin has teased a bout at 155 lbs by posting a cryptic message on social media.

"Tony Ferguson is the type of guy to copy my back tattoo then tell me I've just been blessed," he posted accompanied with a picture of an event titled 'UFC 236: Holloway vs. Ferguson'.

UFC 236 is scheduled for April 13th but is without a headliner.

Is Holloway set to move up to lightweight and fight for UFC gold? We hope so.
Naturally, his Tweet sent social media into overdrive.
Ferguson recorded his 11th straight UFC victory against Anthony Pettis in an absolute blood bath on the same bill as Nurmagomedov vs. McGregor.

Holloway is also on a tear. He's compiled an impressive 13 fight win streak which includes not one but TWO victories over Jose Aldo, and a dominant win against Brian Ortega.
