UFC president Dana White has had his say on Nick Diaz's shock return to MMA and he isn't fully convinced.

Diaz sent fans into overdrive earlier this week after showing off his incredible physique ahead of a 2021 comeback.

The 37-year-old last fought back in 2015 when he took on Anderson Silva at UFC 183 and many have speculated if he could return to the promotion.

When asked about Diaz's social media activity, White replied per MMAFighting: "The Nick Diaz thing: First of all, we would've never released that or done that.

"We'll see how this thing plays out. I don't have any expectations, whatsoever. We'll see what happens."

Diaz hasn't won a fight in almost nine years, with his last victory coming against BJ Penn back in October 2011.

The Stockton native's manager, Kevin Mubenga, confirmed that Diaz now 'weighs in the 175-165 pound range,' according to ESPN's Ariel Helwani.

Diaz has finished a 14-week diet and training regimen and is now 'keeping a close eye on the big welterweight fights coming up.'

Helwani tweeted: "This is Nick Diaz earlier today. He weighs in the 175-165 pound range, per his manager Kevin Mubenga.

"He just completed a 14-week diet and training regimen. This is the first time he cuts weight in approximately four years, Mubenga said.

"Diaz wanted to do a test cut because... he is keeping a close eye on the big welterweight fights coming up.

"He is "100%" planning on fighting again, per Mubenga, and is targeting an early 2021 return."

One man who has thrown his name into the hat to face 'Diablo' is Conor McGregor.

The Irishman retired from MMA earlier this year but cryptically called out Nick and brother Nate on Twitter.

Replying to a tweet about the Diaz brothers, the 'Notorious' simply called for someone to "Line them up."

McGregor and Nate Diaz have a storied history and the pair fought in two instant classics back in 2016, winning one fight each.
