Dana White has confirmed that Khabib Nurmagomedov is OUT of UFC 249 and promised to reveal the entire card on Monday.

The UFC president reacted to a fake tweet saying the blockbuster title fight between Nurmagomedov and Tony Ferguson is on for UFC 249.

A fake Ariel Helwani Twitter account shared the following message about the original UFC 249 main-event.

"Dana White and Vladimir Putin have reached an agreement on travel arrangements for UFC Lightweight Champion Khabib Nurmagomedov to come to the United States. He will fight Tony Ferguson. It's happening folks. #UFC249 will go on as scheduled April 18."

However, despite it being fake news, White wrote back and confirmed Nurmagomedov won't be fighting on April 18.

"Absolutely NOT true!!! The card is happening but @TeamKhabib is out. I will announce the entire card tomorrow," the UFC boss replied.

A host of changes will be made to UFC 249 and the promotion are expected to confirm a location and venue in the coming days according to ESPN.

"It's unclear at this time where the location will be, however, sources said it's looking like it will take place on the West Coast of the United States," ESPN reports.

The current plan is to have Ferguson vs. Justin Gaethje headline the card, but the fight isn't signed yet.

Ferguson has an offer on the table to face Gaethje, though he told ESPN he would consider the proposal only if UFC found a location for the event.

"It doesn't matter who we have. We're gonna try to make this thing go," he said. "At least some of the people in the world have a little bit of hope.

"The guys that are really doing it are the doctors and the nurses and the people taking care of everybody. If we can do our little bit of part to try and make something happen, I'm down with that."

UFC 249 was originally scheduled to take place in Brooklyn, but the state governor banned sporting events in New York due to the coronavirus outbreak.
