Jon Jones has slammed the UFC's decision to list Khabib Nurmagomedov as the pound-for-pound king.

Nurmagomedov asked for the No. 1 spot in the pound-for-pound rankings as one final gesture following his dominant victory over Justin Gaethje at UFC 254.

"I know only one thing I want from UFC, you guys have to be me on No. 1 pound-for-pound fighter in the world, because I deserve this," 'The Eagle' said inside the Octagon last Saturday.

"UFC undisputed, undefeated lightweight champion, 13-0, 13 in UFC, 29 in all pro MMA career. I think I deserve it."

The UFC obliged by ranking Nurmagomedov above Jones whose hit out at the promotion's updated pound-for-pound list.

On Twitter, he wrote: "This is number one bullshit."

In another tweet, he added: "Unanimous decision over last minute replacement Al Iaquinta to become champion.

"Conor McGregor is the only opponent he's ever had that the general public actually knew.

"Catapulted my man to becoming the best ever, this is hilarious."

'Bones' also hit out at Nurmagomedov's fans on social media.

"I'm talking to all you Khabib fans out there," he said. "Fifteen world titles to your guys' four, and you guys are really talking about who's the best fighter ever? You guys are joking, right?

"Fifteen to four. Are you guys' kidding me?"

Jones, meanwhile, hasn't fought since his controversial points victory over Dominick Reyes at UFC 247.

He has since vacated his UFC light-heavyweight title and announced his move to the heavyweight division.
