Conor McGregor's interview with UFC Arabia was briefly interrupted after he hilariously spotted Max Holloway riding by on his skateboard.

McGregor sat down with Farah Hannoun to talk all things UFC 257 ahead of his highly-anticipated return on Saturday.

And the Irishman spoke about former foe Holloway who rode past while skating around Fight Island.

When discussing Khabib Nurmagomedov's retirement, McGregor noticed Holloway and said: "That looked like Max Holloway going by on a skateboard?!"

Farah suggested that it could be him with McGregor laughing about the situation before talking up a fight against the former UFC featherweight champion.

Holloway then confirmed that it was indeed him, taking to social media to post pictures of him skateboarding.

The Hawaiian is still in Abu Dhabi following his masterful performance against Calvin Kattar at UFC Fight Island 7 last weekend.

He dominated their featherweight clash, winning a lopsided decision.

A title shot appears to be next, but McGregor has teased a rematch following their 2013 clash.

Speaking about Holloway's brilliant Octagon showing, he told The Mac Life: "I thought it was a solid performance

"He fought an up-and-comer; he done well. I was actually doing an interview and he skateboarded by the window. I was like, 'Is that Max Holloway?'

"He's obviously hanging around, and fair play to him. He's definitely in the pipeline for a bout against me. I would happily rematch Max, and after a performance like that, he's put himself right up there."

On the potential match-up, he added: "He's a tall lad. He's taller than me, so he could build up. He's only fought at 155 once. It was against Dustin. He was a bit out-powered, but he could certainly do it. Against other lightweights? You never know. But the rematch would be 155, for sure.

"He's not the best boxer. It's no question, and I'll prove that on (Saturday). Let's see what he says Sunday morning."

McGregor's comeback is just days away as he takes on Dustin Poirier in the main-event of UFC 257.
