The rivalry between Israel Adesanya and Jon Jones stepped up a notch after the latter took some serious shots at 'The Last Stylebender' following his UFC 259 defeat on Saturday night.

Jones has, however, appeared to throw cold water on a potential fight against Adesanya by saying "that's not even worth my time."

It was an entertaining night inside the Apex, Las Vegas as the main event between Adesanya and Jan Blachowicz for the UFC light heavyweight title delivered the goods.

Blachowicz, who defeated Dominick Reyes back in September to win the vacant title, showcased a solid grappling game in his first title defence, along with his usual power to come out on top via unanimous decision.

Adesanya failed in his bid to become a two-division champion and many reacted to his loss on social media, including former two-time UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones.

The pair have gone back and forth on many occasions in recent months regarding a potential fight, but Jones was far from impressed with the 31-year-old's performance on Saturday night.

In fact, he tweeted several times to voice his opinions on the matter.

'The Last Stylebender' was 20-0 in MMA coming into the main event at UFC 259 and was confident of securing victory this weekend, but Jones didn't see it going that way.

He took to Twitter on Friday evening and tweeted: "Jan by KO" before swiftly deleting it.

'Bones' is a former light heavyweight champion and relinquished his title last year to step up to heavyweight.
