UFC have released a never-before-seen angle of Conor McGregor knocking out Jose Aldo in 13 seconds and it's unreal.

McGregor destroyed Aldo to win the UFC featherweight title in 2015 and it was the fight that arguably catapulted the Irishman to stardom.

In the lead-up to his return fight with Donald Cerrone, UFC have tweeted a brand new angle of McGregor dropping his opponent on that fateful December evening.

The action is shot from behind McGregor, meaning the action can be seen from a similar angle that the Irishman saw himself.

It also shows the aftermath of the bout at a much closer level to 'Notorious' as he celebrated in typical fashion.

McGregor managed to counter Aldo's early advances with a perfectly timed left hook which immediately knocked out the Brazilian.

He then landed a hammer-fist for good measure before referee 'Big' John McCarthy stopped the bout.

Fans on Twitter were appreciative of seeing a new angle of the iconic moment.

It will be interesting to see if McGregor still has this kind of power and speed when he returns on January 18.

The fight with Cerrone is set to kick-off a huge year in the Octagon for the 31-year-old.

He reportedly has his eyes on a potential fight with BMF champ Jorge Masvidal, as well as an eagerly anticipated rematch with Khabib Nurmagomedov.

McGregor was defeated by the Russian in his last fight at UFC 229 in October 2018.

It'll likely take a few victories for McGregor to get back in contention for that fight, but there's a chance it happens sooner rather than later.

Khabib is set to face Tony Ferguson at UFC 249 in April, but the former 'champ-champ' is on standby should either man go down with injury.

UFC president Dana White recently told ESPN:

"He's hoping that if he beats Cowboy, he can turn right around and fight Khabib, but that timing and math isn't going to work out. But you know Conor. Conor thinks the way Conor thinks.

"His thing is, I'll fight Cowboy, I'll beat Cowboy, and I'll be ready to fight Khabib at 155 if anything happens, because we're going into Khabib-Tony again," he added. "So Conor would be ready for that fight."
