Robert Whittaker and Darren Till could feature in the headline clash for a UFC event on Dana White's mysterious 'Fight Island,' according to reports.

UFC president White, 50, revealed that he is working on plans to secure a private island to host UFC pay-per-views amid the coronavirus pandemic.

While details on the so-called Fight Island remain shrouded in mystery, White is aiming for the island's base of operations to be up and running by next month.

Globoesporte's Combate now reports that Whittaker and Till's clash has been rescheduled for 25th July.

The two UFC stars were reportedly set to headline UFC Dublin on 15th August, but it's unclear if White's MMA promotion will cancel the event due to the coronavirus pandemic.

According to reports, UFC will now push for the clash between Whittaker and Till to take place on Fight Island.

The headline fight would be scheduled for five rounds, but there won't be a title on the line.

Till, 27, fought in November last year and picked up a split decision victory over Kelvin Gastelum at UFC 244.

The Liverpool-born fighter, who previously suffered back-to-back defeats against Jorge Masvidal and Tyron Woodley, has traded verbal blows with Whittaker on social media last year.

Whittaker, 29, hasn't fought inside the octagon since he lost the UFC middleweight championship to Israel Adesanya at UFC 243 in October 2019.

The 'Reaper' was scheduled to return at UFC 248 against Jared Cannonier, but he pulled out of the event to donate bone marrow to his sick daughter.

White has admitted that his upcoming Fight Island will have training facilities for fighters to use ahead of their forthcoming fights.

"Fight Island should be up and running in June," he told ESPN last month. "So I should be able to start running international events in June.

"We really are putting an octagon on the beach. There's going to be training facilities there for people.

"There are hotels. And the whole island is going to be built, all the infrastructure is going to be built for the UFC to come do fights there."
