Matt Riddle left UFC president Dana White with a traumatised look on his face after pulling off a devastating knockout victory on The Ultimate Fighter.

The 34-year-old American, who has since transitioned to pro wrestling, previously competed on the seventh season of the reality TV show in 2008.

And Riddle, who was a member of Team Rampage, came up against Dan Simmler in the second round and left a lasting impression on everyone in attendance.

The WWE superstar started the second round early by delivering a ferocious right hook on Simmler, which immediately dropped his opponent.

Riddle pounced on Simmler and followed up with three brutal hammerfists to the face before referee Herb Dean pulled him away.

Simmler could be heard mumbling and moaning on the octagon mat as the clip was spliced with reactions from those in attendance.

White looked on in complete shock at Simmler, who had broken his jaw in two places after a medical examination revealed the extent of the damage caused.

Former UFC star Quinton Jackson described the moment as "one of the gruesomest [sic] knockouts I had ever seen."

Riddle's TUF coach explained: "I'd never seen someone moan on the ground like that.

"I felt really bad because that was one of the gruesomest [sic] knockouts I had ever seen. Matt got the knockout of the century."

Riddle fought 12 times inside the UFC octagon and had seven victories to his name, with three defeats and two no contests.

The WWE star was released from UFC in 2013 as he failed two drugs tests after testing positive for marijuana.

Riddle has continued to maintain a heated rivalry with White and even branded the UFC president a "heartless moron" in an Instagram post last year.

"Dana I'm not mad that you fired me I'm mad because you're a heartless moron with to [sic] much money and power and felt the need to call me a loser after you fired me when I was on a 4 fight win streak and had my 3rd child almost bankrupting me," he wrote.

"Also to say it was the right call to fire me is the dumbest thing ever, you literally tried to ruin my career/life because your a little bald b***h that couldn't control me, so stop lying it's sad bro."
