A compilation of Conor McGregor's most insulting comments aimed at Jose Aldo has been released and it's some of UFC's best trash talk.

'Notorious' and Aldo had a rivalry in the second half of 2015 which ended in McGregor defeating the Brazilian inside 13 seconds at UFC 194 to win the featherweight title.

But the build-up to the fight saw the duo engaged in numerous verbal battles and it's McGregor who really shone.

The video begins with McGregor throwing darts at a board with an image of Aldo on it, managing to nail him in the head everytime.

He then lets out a yell of, "If I hit him there it's over!"

Clips of his greatest verbal putdowns then air with one highlight being when he stated he 'owned' Rio de Janeiro.

UFC President Dana White can be seen laughing in the background as McGregor continues and says:

"For him to say he's the king and I'm the joker, if this was a different time I would invade his favela on horseback and kill anyone that is not fit to walk.

"But we are in a new time, so I'll just whoop his ass!"

Many of McGregor's insults are aimed at Aldo's diminutive frame with jabs such as 'little man' and 'scrawny f**k' scattered throughout.

Another key incident saw the former 'champ-champ' learn Brazilian phrases in an attempt to further mess with 'Junior Mac'.

Fans on YouTube have commented on the trash talk and many think this is where McGregor truly got the upper hand leading up to the duo's fight.

One commented read: "Conor had Aldo beat when he told him that he was gonna die in his native language. Aldo was SPOOKED."

While another stated: "God I miss this McGregor. Take me back to 2014/2015 McGregor."

A third added: "Mastery of mental warfare. Conor had the fight won a long time before they were in the octagon. He was really in Aldo's head."

It's safe to say that we'll likely never see a clearer example of someone living in an opponent's head 'rent free'.
