Jorge Masvidal and Kamaru Usman had to be pulled apart as the two UFC rivals nearly came to blows at an NFL Super Bowl media day.

The BMF champion and the UFC welterweight champion look like they're on a collision course to face each other at some point in the future.

Fans nearly got a sneak peak at the fight on Wednesday when the pair had to be separated at a media day ahead of the Super Bowl.

In the video of the incident Usman calls on Masvidal to do something but the BMF champ says he 'won't take advantage' of Usman's arm being in a cast.

Usman defended his welterweight belt against Colby Covington at UFC 245 and there's been plenty of talk about who might be next.

Masvidal has rocketed up in profile in the last year with wins against Darren Till, Ben Askren and Nate Diaz and has also been linked with a fight with Conor McGregor and 170 lbs.

Speaking recently on Joe Rogan's podcast the UFC champ claimed Dana White had told him Gamebred was his next opponent, saying, "Give me a month and let this thing [his arm] heal up. I can make a fist now. I'm cracking. They put out the guys, and let's be honest, if you look at the division, I've beaten almost everybody there in the top 10. It's a matter of who they really want, what's next. Dana (White) said they really want Jorge. Jorge is the next guy."

However the Nigerian would really like a fight with the retired Georges St-Pierre, adding, "I know he [St-Pierre] can compete still. And I'd like to test that. There's a reason guys like myself and Khabib want to fight him. We want to test ourselves. Georges is the best. He did everything the right way... and he can still do it.

"It's not for the hype. It's not for the money. We want to test ourselves against the best to ever do it."

Who wins, Masvidal or Usman?
