Confirmed Manchester United line-ups to face FC Sheriff (Europa League): Ronaldo and Garnacho START

Manchester United's line-up to face FC Sheriff in matchday five of the Europa League has been confirmed.

Manchester United are approaching their fifth game in the Europa League this season.

They will play against FC Sheriff in the penultimate match day of Group E.

Manchester United currently sit second in the group, however if they win against FC Sheriff and defeat Real Sociedad next week by a score better than 1-0, they will top the group.

Topping the group is incredibly important, as it gives whoever finishes first a queue-jump to the round of 16.

All sides who finish second in their respective Europa League groups will have to face the third-placed teams who have dropped down from the Champions League.

Erik ten Hag's men have faced FC Sheriff once before, defeating the outfit 2-0 away from home thanks to goals from Jadon Sancho and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Speaking ahead of the fixture in his pre-match press conference, Erik ten Hag said he will not rest players with the World Cup in mind.

"I think it is the wrong idea," he said.

"They only have one week and then the World Cup starts. You have to keep the right fitness, the right shape.

"It is not optimum but that is something the national managers have to deal with."
