Alejandro Garnacho scored a wonderful last-minute winner to earn Manchester United all three points at Craven Cottage against Fulham.
Christian Eriksen’s first United goal saw the Red Devils have the lead at half time before former United man Dan James equalised for Fulham.
Garnacho’s late winner snatched all three points for United, who go into the break for the World Cup with three important points.
Here are the player ratings:
David de Gea – 8/10
De Gea made some brilliant saves, with the pick of the bunch one-off Tim Ream, whose close-range header was tipped over the bar. When he needed to, he swept well once again.
Tyrell Malacia – 4/10
Playing in an unfamiliar right-back position today, Malacia struggled at times, although not for lack of trying. He got caught out of position for Fulham’s goal, although the blame can't solely lie with the left-back.
Victor Lindelöf – 5/10
Picked to partner Lisandro Martinez today, Lindelöf put in a decent performance. He arguably could have done more to prevent Tom Cairney’s cross for James’ goal, but played some good passes, as we have seen him do before.
Lisandro Martinez – 7/10
As usual, Martinez made some excellent tackles and interceptions. His calmness on the ball was, as always, vital. Another brilliant showing.
Luke Shaw – 5/10
Shaw worked hard, getting up and down the left-hand side regularly. He put in some good crosses, one in particular for Scott McTominay, who headed just over the bar. He could have done better to prevent James getting on the end of the cross for his goal.
Casemiro – 7/10
There were times when Casemiro lost the ball too easily tonight, or at least for is standards. Overall, however, he put in a good showing, and shielded the back four well once again.
Christian Eriksen – 7/10
A first United goal and a wonderful assist for Alejandro Garnacho’s late winner. Another great performance, with some trademark passes in there, capped off with a wonderful pass to Garnacho.
Bruno Fernandes – 7/10
Fernandes played the pass for Eriksen’s goal, although was not given the assist for his deflected ball across. He played some excellent diagonal passes and worked as hard as ever. Bruno dropped out of the game a bit when he switched to the right-hand side.
Marcus Rashford – 6/10
Rashford struggled to properly get into the game tonight, although in the first half especially, had some good moments. He got in behind a couple of times, although without much success.
Anthony Martial – 6/10
Once again, Martial showed sharp movement off the ball, and his link-up play was very good. He arguably should have been on the scoresheet, with a header in the first half being the best of his opportunities.
Anthony Elanga – 5/10
Elanga worked hard again tonight and linked-up well at times with Fernandes and Malacia. He had a good chance in the second half one-on-one with Leno, which was saved.
Scott McTominay – 5/10
McTominay headed over a good chance from a cross from Shaw late on. On the ball, he played some good passes, and worked hard during the time he was on the pitch.
Alejandro Garnacho – 8/10
Aside from his wonderful late winner, which was so well taken on his weaker foot, Garnacho was once again lively on the left-hand side. He gives this United team something unique and is always involved in positive attacking play. An incredibly exciting talent.
