Marcus Rashford's 100th Manchester United goal was enough to secure three points against West Ham in a Premier League battle at Old Trafford.

It was a game that Erik ten Hag would've been desperate to win after both Chelsea and Liverpool lost this weekend.

In a close encounter, Rashford's incredible header was the difference between the two teams, with some of United's defenders standing out as The Reds grinded out another clean sheet.

Here are the player ratings for the match:

David de Gea - 8/10

Not too much to do in the game, but was called into action late on and made some fabulous saves which kept United in the lead.

Diogo Dalot - 9/10

His active thinking was the catalyst behind Rashford's opener, with a quick throw-in towards Eriksen. Good progression and dealt with the right sided threat from West Ham in the second half. Some extremely important headed clearances inside his own area through the second period.

Harry Maguire - 6.5/10

A poor returning first half for the captain. Couldn't find United players with his long passes, was passive in his ball playing and couldn't deal with West Ham's counter attacking threat on the right side. In the second period he regained some confidence and made some important actions alongside his other defenders and saved the points for United in the last minute with a goal-saving block.

Lisandro Martinez - 9/10

He's the calmest and also the most aggressive man at Old Trafford somehow. In possession, it was another example of his amazing progressive play. He couldn't be dispossessed, even when he moved forward with the ball. A vital block against Scamacca early in the second half.

Luke Shaw - 9/10

Another brilliant showing on the left side. Perfect first touch, great link up and was tenacious off-the-ball, winning possession many times for his side.

Casemiro - 8/10

United's Brazilian in the midfield won possession countless times and held the midfield together as West Ham pushed forward and countered. Good, as usual, on the ball too, launching a few attacks.

Christian Eriksen - 8/10

A perfect cross for the opening goal and was his usual self, helping his side launch attacks and progress the ball into the forwards.

Anthony Elanga - 5/10

Not a great showing on the right. It's clear that he's better centrally or on the left. A few good runs and was solid defensively, as expected.

Bruno Fernandes - 7/10

A solid performance from the Portuguese in the middle. Constant pressing, winning tackles and then good in possession with his execution and decision making.

Marcus Rashford - 8/10

Looked keen to impress from the off and his leap for his headed goal was something we haven't seen from him much before. 100 goals for United and he's in some great form for The Reds.

Cristiano Ronaldo - 6/10

He needs to start getting into dangerous areas more. Often dropping deep, but not offering much progressive link-up and instead should look to occupy the centre-backs on the last line.

Substitutes

Scott McTominay - 7/10

Added some solidity to the midfield and was close to assisting his partner who also came on.

Fred - 7/10

Was so close to scoring with his headed effort, which hit the post.
