High School Student Receives Personal Message From The Rock After Taking His Cardboard Cutout To Prom

The Rock proving once again why he’s one of Hollywood’s greatest guys.

What a legend The Rock is.

Last month, a fan by the name of Mel shared a picture of herself dressed to the nines for her prom, with her date, the one-and-only Dwayne Johnson, by her side.

Well, sort of.

Mel shared a picture of herself posing next to a cardboard cutout of the legendary actor and wrestler.

She captioned the post: “Thank you The Rock for taking me to prom. I had so much fun. Best date a person could ask for.”

Cardboard cutout Dwayne must have got word to the real Dwayne about how great that prom was because the actor decided to reach out to Mel and send her a personal message.

He shared the photo on his Instagram, with the caption: “It was absolutely my honor Mel and you were the best prom date EVER!!!

“Great to meet your family and friends too!

“Ps, I’m super happy you posted this! Have the best summer!”

The Rock proving once again why he’s one of Hollywood’s greatest guys.

It’s not completely surprising that he went out of his way to make a fan’s day, as he has a history of doing just that in the past.

Previously he’s pulled up alongside a celebrity tour bus to give fans a quick hello in their search for the rich and famous.

He pulled up to the tour bus, saying: “Hey, you guys know where I can find The Rock?”

Just last year he spent part of his own birthday recording and posting a heartwarming message to 4-year-old Indy Llew Jones who was battling cancer.

He filmed himself singing his Moana character’s song ‘You’re Welcome’ to the young fan who loved the Disney film.

He’s admitted in the past that giving back to his fans is one of his favourite parts of his job.

During an appearance on Live With Kelly and Ryan in 2019, he said: “It's the easiest part of my job I think to be kind and take pictures and sign an autograph.

"Literally, it's the easiest thing….When I was 15, I heard a quote that was 'It's nice to be important, it's more important to be nice.’”

The actor, who was synonymous with the WWE, recently found out the wrestling name his daughter Simone Jones would be following in his footsteps with.

Simone Johnson signed to World Wrestling Entertainment in 2020, however, her career was put on hold after picking up an injury that required surgery.

It now seems she’s back and raring to go, revealing she’ll be wrestling under the name - Ava Raine.

Perhaps there’ll be a mixed tag match in the future.
