Ringside Footage Of The Undertaker's Emotional Hall Of Fame Embrace With Vince McMahon Has Emerged

Ringside Footage Of The Undertaker's Emotional Hall Of Fame Embrace With Vince McMahon Has Emerged

"I love you."

The Undertaker told WWE chairman Vince McMahon "I love you" as they embraced during his Hall of Fame induction on Friday evening. Check out ringside footage below.

McMahon and The Undertaker, real name Mark Calaway, have had an incredible bond since 'The Phenom' debuted in 1990.

The Undertaker has always been by McMahon's side, even when a number of superstars jumped ship to WCW during the Attitude Era.

It's clear to to see how much both men respect one another and McMahon personally inducted Taker, with his only other induction being 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin in 2009.

McMahon attempted to leave the ring as soon as 'The Deadman' arrived, but instead was met by a hug.

He then said "I love you," which was picked up on the broadcast and left McMahon momentarily flustered.

An incredible moment between two undisputed legends.

The Undertaker was applauded by everyone inside the American Airlines Center and chants of "You deserve it" saw him break down in tears.

What followed was a speech which delved into The Undertaker's career which spanned a whopping four decades.

It wasn't just McMahon who received a lengthy tribute.

Storyline brother Kane was given a shoutout as was Triple H, who announced his own retirement last week after suffering from a heart issue.

The Undertaker declared: "For the last 30 years, my identity has been 'Undertaker.' The Phenom, the Deadman, the American Badass, and the taker of souls. Tonight, I’m gonna take you behind the curtain and meet the man behind the black hat, Mark Calaway.

"Now that The Undertaker has entered the WWE Hall of Fame, you can rest assured that I will rest…in…peace."

He officially retired in June 2020 after having his final match against AJ Styles at WrestleMania 36 a few months prior.

The aptly titled 'Boneyard Match' allowed the seven-time world champion to throw it back to his 'Big Evil' moniker with a fresh twist.

He didn't close the door entirely, however.

After donning his iconic black jacket and hat one final time, The Undertaker declared: "Never say never."

The 57-year-old then left the ring as the broadcast ended.

Rick and Scott Steiner [The Steiner Brothers] as well as Queen Sharmell were inducted earlier in the night, while Vader was given a posthumous induction following his death in 2018.
