WWE superstar John Cena spotted working out at gym in Liverpool, everybody was starstruck

Gym goers were left open-mouthed when John Cena walked into the building.

Gym goers in Liverpool couldn't believe their eyes when WWE superstar and all-round nice guy John Cena walked into the building this week.

Cena, a 16-time WWE world champion, appears to have blessed the UK with his presence as he continues to promote Fast X – the latest film in the Fast & Furious franchise.

He recently imitated that famous Liverpool fan who eulogised over former Reds forward Sadio Mane outside Anfield.

And not so long ago, he gave his verdict on 6ft 5in' Newcastle defender Dan Burn owning a Smart car. "This guy knows his self-worth," Cena said. "He looks in the mirror every day and says, 'I'm enough'."

Now, 'The Doctor of Thuganomics' has once again earned the love and support of his adoring fan base by working out a public gym in Liverpool's city centre.

That's right. The 46-year-old, famous for his 'You Can't See Me' catchphrase, caused a bit of stir on Thursday and Friday, when he patiently posed for pictures with fans at JD Gyms Liverpool Dale Street.

One fan even recorded the unfolding events on Snapchat before captioning the post: "John Cena working out in Liverpool one JD gyms has fully spun my head."

You can see that footage below:

Here's how the rest of social media reacted to Cena's latest appearance.

One said: "The funniest thing about John Cena working out in Liverpool is that Dwayne Johnson literally gets his entire gym shipped to wherever he visits while johns just asked some arl fella outside Wetherspoons for directions to the nearest JD gym in town."

A second wrote: "Why is John cena in Liverpool ?????!!!! I’m so jealous," while a third commented: "Dunno about you but I only see a geezer in a tank top."

A fourth added: "John Cena has time for everyone. I love this man."

Last month, the American actor and former rapper suggested his wrestling career could be over. "Man, I wish I was still there every day," Cena said on Busted Open Radio.

"My body can’t do it anymore, and I don’t want to give the consumer a bad product."
