Logan Paul is set for blockbuster WrestleMania match after stunning Royal Rumble return

Logan Paul is in line for a huge match at WrestleMania after returning to WWE at the Royal Rumble.

Logan Paul is in line for a blockbuster WrestleMania match after making an incredible return at the Royal Rumble.

Paul had been absent after since suffering a serious knee injury when he took on Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia back in November.

He feared he had torn both his ACL and MCL and would likely be ruled out of WrestleMania as a result.

However, 'The Maverick' made a shock comeback ahead of schedule when he came out as the 29th entrant into Saturday's Royal Rumble.

He lasted ten minutes in his rumble debut and produced an insane acrobatic spot where he collided with the high-flying Ricochet, the two springboarded towards one another with a sickening impact.

Paul also hit headlines for eliminating one of the top stars when he threw four-time world champion Seth Rollins over the top rope.

And if history is anything to go by, it suggests that Paul and Rollins will now square off at the 'Grandest Stage of Them All', which takes place at the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, California.

Paul was loudly booed and played up to the reactions of the crowd, with the 27-year-old likely to play the heel, bad guy role against Rollins.

He taunted 'The Visionary' by saying, "Seth, who?" and even did the customary point at the WrestleMania sign in the distance at the Alamodome in Texas.

Paul was chucked out by eventual winner Cody Rhodes but was more than happy with his comeback.

Speaking to WWE's social media channels afterwards, the Prime founder said: "I’m obviously an outsider. All of this is insane. This is insane, this environment is like no other in the world.

"I swear to God, these fans are the best in the world. I’m working with some of the most talented people in the world. Although I didn’t win, I am excited. I got back today, I was able to get the rust off from being injured. And I’m just grateful that I was able to participate a little bit.”

Paul made his WWE debut at WrestleMania 38 when he teamed with the Miz against Rey and Dominik Mysterio. He made a huge impression and then defeated his one-time partner at SummerSlam later that year.

In July, he signed a ‘multi-year, multi-event’ contract with WWE and has taken to the business like a duck to water.
