The Rock's daughter makes shocking entrance in WWE debut, fans couldn't believe it was her

Ava Raine made her first appearance on WWE television, joining a cult as part of her first wrestling character.

Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson's daughter Ava Raine has shocked WWE audiences with a wild debut that left fans with their mouths wide open.

Wrestling die-hards had been anticipating the TV debut of Raine, whose real name is Simone Johnson, for quite some time now.

And despite having a legendary father, Raine has gone down a completely different route shocking fans by joining a cult as part of her first wrestling character.

That’s right, a cult. Bit of separation from the People’s Champion.

The reveal came in WWE’s development territory NXT when the group ‘The Schism’ announced they would be joined by a new member.

‘The Schism’ is a faction led by wrestler Joe Gacy along with tag team Jagger Reed and Rip Fowler known as the Dyad.

They’ve been causing havoc in WWE for quite a few months now and have been teasing the arrival of a fourth member, who had previously appeared under a red hood.

Lo and behold the group certainly gained some star power by revealing Raine as part of their family.

And that reaction from the fans was truly nuts.

Just as her father had done millions and millions of times before, the superstar cut a promo to the shock of the onlooking fans.

She said: “The love and acceptance The Schism has given me, defies any preconceived notions of who I’m supposed to be.

“This family completes me. I am Ava Raine.”

Certainly sounds like she’s trying to shed her father’s name and forge her own background in the WWE.

And the surprise was certainly reflected online.

One fan tweeted: “Omg! I’m so shocked.”

Another wrote: “Well that was unexpected, holy s**t.”

A third added: “Holy hell I didn’t see that coming at all.”

Simone Johnson signed for WWE back in February 2020, however, her debut was delayed after undergoing a few surgeries to deal with niggling injuries.

It was revealed that she had finally gained her own professional wrestling name back in May - Ava Raine.

She had competed off of TV for the NXT brand, as fans waited patiently for her to make her official debut for the company.

She becomes one of the only fourth-generation wrestlers to wrestle for the WWE.
